2 of the biggest drinking days in the year and they are in the middle of the week. I know there are some hardcore fans of the drink out there that will celebrate the day of but for the most of us we are going to have to throw them back on the weekend before.
I thought that it would be cool to give a rundown of what "Mexican" beers are out there that are worth a damn:
Corona extra: Probably the single most recognized Mexican beer that's out there. Seemly always accompanied by a lime wedge and salt Corona has been a summer time hit for years. The golden color tells you exactly what you are getting into; this is a light beer that's going to be easy to drink. It's Coronas drinkability that has made it a staple in almost every bar that you go into, its not complicated and you are going to have to "break the seal" before you are buzzed on it.

Tecate: I think that Tecate has grown enough but has not come close to the popularity of Corona. Tecate has a lot of the same characteristics that corona has when it comes to its overall drinkability. This is a lager that's very easy to drink without a lot of complex flavors or aromas to analyze. The color is slightly darker that Corona which makes you think there would be more flavor but no. This follows the line for another hot summer day and a nice cold beer to drink by the BBQ.
website http://cervezatecate.com/ (how are you a beer company this big with a website thats under construction???)
word to the wise on these two beers, watch out if the get warm.... whoa groossssss!
I will put up a couple more tomorrow and put up my favorite that everyone should try later in the week.
PROST!
